As UK Purchasing Manager based in the NorthWest, you will be co-coordinating and managing the Commercial Services division of the business. You will be influencing major stakeholders and working closely with the Marketing team. You will be heading up a growing dynamic team in fast moving environment. You will be responsible for a £multi-million spend. Elements include buying strategy formulation, sourcing and supplier selection, negotiation and relationship management all at strategic level. There is also a strong leadership requirement with considerable involvement in multi disciplinary business projects and global buying. In this organisation Supply Chain is recognised as a major driver in the generation of future business success through innovation, customer and consumer awareness and continuous improvement in flexibility and cost.
Who we're looking for
You will be of Degree calibre (or equivalent) and CIPS Qualified (or studying towards) and have a proven track record of operating and delivering in a similar environment. You will have had exposure to fast paced international business in a sourcing role but it would be a benefit to have an understanding of sales or marketing in a relevant sector. You will be proficient in negotiation, understand the demands and opportunities offered by e-commerce in a supply chain context and have a clear strategic grasp. You personal traits will include impact leadership, team orientation and a commitment to the pursuit of excellence.
