Who we're looking for
Our client is looking to recruit a bright and ambitious junior pensions lawyer to join its Pensions practice. They are looking for candidates with a leading City firm. They may also consider more senior candidates looking to work on a part-time basis. Some share schemes experience is also desirable.
About our client
The Pensions Group acts for both companies and trustees in relation to all aspects of pension schemes, including:
- the establishment, revision, amalgamation or winding up of schemes
- advice on trustees' powers, duties and statutory obligations
- new tax regime
- investment management agreements and common investment funds
- Pensions Ombudsman claims
- pension scheme deficits
- acquisition and disposal of companies and assets and the 'moral hazard' clauses
- employment contracts/dismissal
- URBS, FURBS and SUURBS
- offshore arrangements
The Group also advises on employee benefits including:
- the establishment, revision and termination of schemes
- ongoing regulatory, employment, data protection and tax issues
- employment contracts/dismissal
- acquisition, disposal and flotation's
- multinational arrangements
For candidates who may be frustrated with undertaking a large amount of corporate support work at their current firm, this is a refreshing opportunity to be part of a strong stand alone pensions practice with only a very small percentage of transactional support work.
