The Fleet Manager based in Scunthorpe will oversee the operation of the Scunthorpe office to ensure that its requirements are carried out to a high standard in order to meet the standards of the Board. You will consider the entire logistics operation ensuring that the Fleet operates effectively.

To manage the ScunthorpeFleet activity so that it operates efficiently and economically. You should consider negotiation with third party hauliers, ensure that all transport activities are carried out within vehicle limits and are operated in accordance with legal requirements. Liaise with the Works Manager to ensure that specific customer requirements are met when preparing and despatching loads.

Who we're looking for
As the Fleet Manager based in Scunthorpe we will expect you to demonstrate an understanding of the following-

• Management, considering any training needs to assist in the performance of tasks, recruitment to handle work loads, disciplinary actions where necessary.

• Ability to work with KPI's.

• Material handling targets.

• Health & Safety matters.

• Ensure that all staff have clearly defined areas and levels of responsibility and those responsibilities are effectively. communicated to them.

• Reviewing company procedures within Transport.

• Degree level educated

• CPC National (essential)

• Be able to demonstrate Strong Microsoft Office skills
