Working closely with the Managing Director and the management team your role will have a key focus on driving the business strategy and operational performance.
Responsibilities:
• Identify future business opportunities to increase turnover and net margin.
• Main finance point of contact for the senior management team.
• Involvement with future acquisitions of the business and under taking due diligence.
• Oversee the production of management information for the business.
• Managing a finance team of management accountants, purchase and sales ledger, payroll and treasury.
• Improve month-end reporting and develop management information specific to costs and margin
• Design and develop management information system to suit the needs of the business.
• Produce analysis on WIP/contract costing/provisions etc on a monthly basis, updating forecast profitability.
•Budgeting and Forecasting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Co-ordination of external audit requirements.
• Develop and integrate of a ERP system.
Who we're looking for
A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a commercial and strategic focus as well as a excellent grasp of month-end accounting. The ideal candidate will view this role as a step up in responsibility and will thrive on the commercial input on offer. Prior experience of system implementation would be an advantage.
