Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Leader you will be tasked to:
• Achieve sustained optimization of cost structures and assist in driving continuous improvement activities.
• Lead the Materials Management Team consisting of approx. 9 Team leaders across the international locations with a total staff of about 70 people.
• Design, plan, execute, control, and monitor all activities in Materials Management ensuring best practise and Performance Measures are established in all global warehouses.
• Ensure a global Materials Management team is trained and developed across all sites and that all facilities have the same objectives and measures in line with the Supply Management objectives.
• Ensure that material/products are available - The right : Value, location, quantity, Quality and all at the best possible landed cost.
• Play a key role within the Global Supply Chain Organisation and be a member of the Supply Chain Leadership Team.
• Maintain and secure accuracy of stock management system (SAP) parameters, attributes, inventory records, delivery information.
• Develop a global stocking concept to reduce lead times involving internal and external clients, while identifying potentials and opportunities to achieve significant savings.

Who we're looking for
The Ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in a related field (Ideally Purchasing), You will have a demonstrable record of delivering results in a similar role and it is essential that this experience has been gained leading Multisite international business teams.
You must have:
•Sound knowledge of managing global Freight contracts with multi national locations and experience in driving efficiency measures along transportation chains.
• Expertise in project management/conflict management and presentation techniques.
• Sound Knowledge of Six Sigma methods and tools
• German speaking would be desirable but in no way essential.
