You will berequired to;
• Assist withmanagement with the production of safety plans, risk assessments and method statements.
• Lead the development of the Groups ISO 14001 initiative. Work towards the development of environmental good working practice on sites and promote this through training sessions.
• Provide advice on training requirements where required.
• Aid the Group Safety Manager in maintaining records of all accidents and incidents and produce appropriate statistics.
• Endeavour to improve safety awareness throughout the Group through toolbox talks and delivery of training.
• Ensure that relevant health and safety legislation is complied with in all the Group's offices and sites.
• Upon the direction of the Group Health and Safety Manager, carry out regular inspections of the Group's construction sites and places of work and provide copies of each report highlighting any faults and the corrective action required to rectify same.
• Upon the direction of the Group Health and Safety Manager, carry out inspections/ audits of our key suppliers and contractors to ensure competency in line with CDM 2007.
• Aid the Group Health and safety Manager to ensure that all required Statutory Regulations are observed, that competent persons are appointed to complete registers, records, assessments, reports etc. and all statutory posters, documents etc. are available and displayed where necessary.
• Aid the Group Health and Safety Manager in receiving reports of all recorded accidents, reportable diseases and dangerous occurrences from Site Managers, record them and provide reports and statistics regarding the Group's safety record to the health and safety committees.
• Upon the direction of the Group Health and Safety Manager, investigate all reportable accidents, diseases and dangerous occurrences
Who we're looking for
Ideal candidatesmust have experience withinpractical health and safety practice on construction sites with a good knowledge of best practice.
•Required to be registered with IOSH.
•Required to hold the NEBOSH General Certificate and Construction Certificate as a minimum qualification, ideally holding a level 4 NVQ/ Diploma in Safety Management.
