The role of an Infrastructure Support Specialist within Budweiser covers a diverse range of responsibilities and technologies. The day to day scope of this position may encompass technologies including Networking, Servers, Desktop, Telecoms, Remote User Support and 2nd/3rd line Helpdesk Support, leveraging the following skills:
• Projects: As well as working on occasion as a project lead, you will be required to be a key project participant in areas such as:- Server and PC Hardware Refreshes, Data Centre Migrations, Network Refreshes, etc.
• Support: Primarily support of desktop and infrastructure technologies at multiple locations within the UK.
• Leadership: Be able to lead individuals and offer guidance to the team where required, whether it be process or problem solving issues.
• Customer Service: Personable individual with strong Customer Service Skills who is able to operate successfully at all levels of the business, interacting effectively with highly technical support teams and front line users.
This role is very diverse and will require a very 'hands on' approach in all areas concerned.
Who we're looking for
To fulfil the Infrastructure Support Specialist role in this very reputable drinks company the ideal candidate must possess an excellent mixture of skills, not necessarily covering all of them but being able to give demonstrable experience of a minimum of 70% of the following areas:
• Project Coordination/Management: Running of projects within Support or Infrastructure.
• Support: Good overall IT knowledge, with a focus on the desktop and infrastructure environments. The candidate should have demonstrable knowledge of working within a structured Service Delivery Environment, of meeting SLA's and effective Customer Management expertise in delivery of Service Desk Support.
• Leadership: Incorporating project based leadership and service desk leadership.
• Customer Service: Demonstrable experience of the provision of customer service within an internal IT support function.
The successful candidate will also show strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to display a broad business understanding and ability to focus on the bigger picture within the Business and the IT department. This role may require a little UK travel, therefore a driving license would be very beneficial.
