Reporting to the Technology Manager, the Development Cell Team Leader will assume overall responsibility for the operation of the Development Cells, including associated up and down stream processing, ensuring that production schedules are met, whilst complying with Metalysis Health & Safety policies.
Key to your role is monitoring the experimental data throughout electrolysis, collating and disseminating this information in the form of a summary report for each individual run. You will also play a key role in the installation and commissioning of new Cells and infrastructure. You will play a vital role in liaising with the scientific and engineering functions to ensure efficient communication of data contributes to the continuous development and improvement of the FFC process.
On a day to day basis you will supervise the running of the Development Cells and their associated processes, to an agreed production schedule, through detailed planning and appropriate resource allocation. You will be responsible for managing and assign workloads for a team of Technicians, including highlighting and organisation of individuals training programmes. You will also be responsible for the smooth running of this department, looking after internal stock control of raw materials and machinery.

A background and understanding in either Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or a related subject is highly desirable.It is essential that you maintain a clean working environment, and promote high house keeping standards.Experience of working to compliance with health and safety procedures is important.
Previous supervisory experience will be highly advantageous and further benefit would be gained given exposure to a pilot scale development environment
