Following a restructure of the department, my clientis looking for a HR Officer to join the team. The successful candidatewill provide an efficient and effective HR service to the stores in the North across employee relations, resourcing, HR administration and performance management.
As HR Officer you role will be:
• To provide advice and guidance to line managers and staff and to produce HR correspondence to ensure legal compliance
• To act as witness in disciplinary, grievance hearings and home visits
• To monitor absence and advise line managers on action to be taken
• To manage the retirement process
• To support resourcing - screening, interviewing and associated paperwork
• To monitor risk assessments for pregnant employees and return to work following maternity leave
• To manage the process for checking employees are eligible to work in the UK
• To produce reports to inform business decisions including monthly GEM reports
• To conduct exit interviews as required
• To manage the probation process
• To manage the reference process for new starters and investigate poor references
• To coordinate and deliver the Head Office Induction
• To manage and input into projects and any other HR activities appropriate to the needs of the business

Who we're looking for
• Ideally CIPD qualified, though part qualified or studying towards will be considered
• Substantial Employee Relations and recruitment experience
• The ability to influence others, especially over the telephone, is an essential skill
• Driving licence is required as you may be required to travel.
• Multi site and HR administration experience is an advantage
