We are looking for individuals with experience in internal and / or external audit to:
Act as the in charge auditor on larger clients briefing and leading the team to deliver the audit:
• Supervise and coach junior members of the team
• Communicate with the line manager, partner and client on issues and progress of the work.
• However, the work of the department is more than just audit focused. As such, there will also be the opportunity for involvement in assurance and financial advisory, and special engagements.
Who we're looking for
• You will be qualified with one of the recognised accountancy bodies and have experience of leading teams and managing client relationships
• Although not essential, you will ideally have prior experience of either the public or education sectors
• Candidates will be highly motivated team players with a desire for making a difference to our clients
• You will have strong communication skills and demonstrable technical ability
• You will thrive on responsibility at an early stage and be able to use your own initiative to complete tasks
• You will be effective at managing your time and working to tight deadlines to deliver high quality services to our clients.

Our Client is one of the world's leading business advisory organisations and a major player in the public sector market.
The Public Sector Assurance practice focuses on understanding clients' businesses, their financial and business systems, and recognising the risks they face. The core of our work is financial statements and internal audit covering government, health and education sectors.
Their Midlands Offices provide services across Housing, Health, Local Government and Education. In addition from the Midlands they lead their national education practice and are responsible for setting and ensuring the delivering of their strategy in the education market. Clients include Government Departments, the Audit Commission, NDPBs, and delivery organisations (from Hospitals Trusts to Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Universities and Colleges. Our client also provide assurance and advisory services to a wide range of our public sector clients.
