There is now a fantastic opening within this large and successful public sector organisation for a Senior Learning & Development Manager. Reporting to the HR Director and leading the thriving training team, you will take responsibility for setting the L&D strategy across the company which will compliment the requirements of the business. You will look after the following:
• Reassess current talent management in a time of great change for the organisation and give a new focus
• Lead the business in the areas leadership development, coaching and succession planning
•Develop the learning agenda to support and encourage the continuation of the recent business growth
• L&D project management and the design and delivery of new and innovative learning products and methods
• Produce medium to long term L&D plans and succession planning pathways for high potential staff and also unqualified support staff
• Line management of L&D Advisor
• Promote the value of evaluation in the training cycle
• Management of the sizeable L&D budget
• Ensure the business remains competitive with external organisations
• Lead, motivate and inspire in the workplace and promote employee commitment
This role will be based in South Yorkshire
Who we're looking for
You will have a proven track record as a commercially focused Head of Learning & Development with ideally a strong mix of both public and private sector experience. You must be an excellent leader, capable of planning effective L&D business solutions and delivering results.
