HR Manager

This is a critical role in determining the strategic and operational priorities for sites in both the UK and Europe. Reporting directly into a central HR Team based overseas,the HR Manager will drive ongoing change and whilst leading a number of key projects. The key demands of the role are:
• Working with the leadership teams, developing and implementing an HR strategy for the business in order to achieve long term strategic goals.
• Drive major change initiatives that will assist the business in improving delivery performance, quality improvements and reducing costs.
• Drive improvements to the resourcing and recruitment process for retention of existing employees and for successful long term succession planning.
• Coach and develop leadership teams to maximise organisational effectiveness.
• Lead consultations with on site Trade Unions - building strong relationships in order to drive change.
• Provide functional excellence in advising and guiding the business leaders in all aspects of the HR function.

Who we're looking for
The key demands require an individual who is able to perform under pressure and balance effectively the demands from different business areas in order to best support the overall strategy. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
• Exposure to driving change - both in identifying the need for change and implementing change in accordance with business strategy
• Significant exposure to a unionised manufacturing environment ideally, non unionised manufacturing will also be considered.
• Business and Commercial acumen, ideally within a multi site manufacturing environment
• Exposure to negotiations and consultation process
• The ability to lead and build effective long term relationships throughout the organisation
• Graduate CIPD
