An opportunity has become available for a Senior Associate within our Corporate Advisory and Restructuring group in Leeds. The individual will work on a range of advisory, formal insolvency and pension engagements supporting the case partner in dealing with clients. The successful candidate will also oversee the development of junior members of staff.
This opportunity would suit a committed individual with a desire to further develop their career in advisory, planning and execution in a client facing environment.
Business development, client management and report writing are key skills as well as the ability to conduct analysis of financial statements and work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
• Responsible for the day-to-day management of a case/variety of cases
• Assist the Director and Partner group in developing market contacts to generate new work opportunities
• Manage and deliver a superior client service to multiple clients
• Responsible for mentoring and developing junior members of staff, providing constructive feedback on a formal and informal basis, including completing appraisal reviews
• Participate in business development projects such as presentations, organising marketing events and writing articles
• Review and critically analyse complex sets of financial statements or projections to make recommendations, spot trends and anomalies
• Responsible for achieving all statutory and client led deadlines
• Produce complex business reviews and strategy reports including the design of creative contingency plans
• Conduct difficult negotiations and provide relevant, timely and accurate information
• Participate in the interviewing process
• Maintain and constantly upgrade technical knowledge
Who we're looking for
Experience and qualifications:
• Typically ACA or ACCA qualified and / or potentially JIEB qualified
• A strong understanding of financial accounting principles; experience of advisory/IBR work
• Strong Microsoft Office skills essential
• Knowledge of IPS is an advantage but not essential.
