A great opportunity now exists to join this large public sector organisation in West Yorkshire as their Organisational Development Manager. In a time of significant change in the company, you will work closely with the Head of HR to build capacity and enable the business to reach key goals through Learning and Development. You will look after the following:
• Leading, inspiring and maximising the potential of a large HR and OD team
• Take financial responsibility for workforce development budgets which support the delivery of L&D and OD work
• Develop and manage the delivery of Organisational Development services in line with wider people strategies, effectively prioritising the most timely and significant matters
• Build relationships with Heads of departments and external partners/bodies and promote the value of OD and L&D
• Take responsibility for monitoring the effectiveness of OD with internal and external heads (qualitative and quantitative)
• Working with other similar institutions on cross-service projects while ensuring the business remains competitive
• Undertake OD projects to reshape structure and enhance the effect people can have on business goals.
• Deputise for the Head of HR and assist in the creation and smooth implementation of strategic annual HR plans
• Champion L&D and OD for this large and complex public sector organisation
Who we're looking for
This is a great opportunity an Organisational Development Manager who can demonstrate the following:
• Ability to lead a large, established OD function with the ability to inspire and motivate team members, engage confidently with stakeholders and embed the vision of the organisation into strategic OD plans
• Ability to promote this complex organisation to external partners and similar organisations by making strategic business connections
• Experience dealing with sensitive material carefully
• Ability to build, shape and develop relationships with key unions which feature heavily in the workings of the business
• Previous work in leading large scale public sector change programmes and complex workforce development initiatives
• Experience in large scale operational management, budgetary management, transformation projects
• Understanding of equality and diversity, health and safety and risk management
• Appropriate qualifications enabling you to undertake this senior post
NB- You will ideally have a mixture of public sector knowledge and a private sector experience and approach in order to thrive in this complex environment
