An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the purchasing team of the UK's largest tyre distributor. Purchasing in excess of 5 Million units per year from a global supply chain, my client supplies 20% of the UK market through it's national warehouse and retail networks.
Reporting directly to the Strategic Sourcing Manager the key roles of the position will be to:

• Assist in development and implementation of improved operational processes and structures
• Negotiate prices with suppliers both within the UK and outside
• Maintain and develop stock profile of specific brands
• Work with Brand Sales Manager to increase market share of specific brands
• Plan and purchase required stock from relevant suppliers
• Monitor, report and forecast Supplier, brand and inventory performance and take corrective action as necessary
• Monitor performance against set KPIs and take corrective action as necessary

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate must have a proven track record within a successful purchasing team, results driven and capable of delivering improvements within supply chain. The successful candidate will be an integral and leading element of the team and therefore must be able to bring and develop best practice and best structure to the team and also be prepared to work on specific projects as requested.
