JOB SPECIFICATION:

An experienced finance professional is required to support pre and post contract commercial activities. The Commercial Manager will take ownership of the commercial structure of New Business Sales bids and existing Account new business opportunities. The Commercial Manager operates at the centre of the bid and account teams, influencing on commercial, financial, legal and operational issues. Using commercial acumen and bid management techniques the Commercial Manager is responsible for supporting win strategies whilst protecting commercial interests. This is a highly networked and customer facing role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• End to end management of the bid process from qualification to contract signature and through to business as usual
• Take full ownership and responsibility for all commercial activities associated with the winning of new name business through bid, due diligence and transition
• Ownership of the commercial deal structure, liaising with Engagement Leads, Solutions Designers, Project Management, Finance, Legal, and Operations
• Work with Account Management team to support growth of business in existing accounts
• Work pro-actively with operational finance staff in the review of all outputs prior to submission
• Drive post contract review in conjunction with operational management
• Monitor and control bid expenditure against budget through to contract signature
• Commercially support and police the formal bid process

Who we're looking for
PERSONAL QUALITIES, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Professionally Qualified Accountant, with advanced skills in Microsoft office products
• Previous experience of supporting business development activity within a service environment, including exposure to client negotiations and significant change programmes
• Comfortable in a dynamic and changing environment with the ability to deal with ambiguity
