Training & Development Officer

There is now an opening for an excellent retail /retail sales trainer within this established and recognisable retail brand to cover a comprehensive range of training & development across the UK retail sites. Reporting to the National Training & Development Manager, this newly created position will look after the following:
• Maximisation of sales from individuals and teams across the UK retail sites through effective sales training
• Manage the full training cycle for employees, from TNA to design, delivery and evaluation
• Organisation of training events for colleagues and arranging external training when necessary
• Maintaining business training records using the learning management system
• Promoting the value of the training function across the business
• Ensuring training is compliant to business and wider legislation and monitoring changes
NB- This role has a large geographical remit and will cover the retail sites for the business across the UK. Extensive travel will be required to undertake this role successfully

Who we're looking for
You will ideally be...
• An excellent retail trainer with a proven background in sales maximisation (ideally in the motor industry)
•Extremely results focused and capable of working under pressure and to tight targets and deadlines
• An excellent people person who inspires and motivates
• Capable of adapting to business change and utilising the most effective forms/materials in training
• Qualified in training (eg-CITP or equivalent)
• A background in sales management would be advantageous
• Some OD knowledge
