Reporting to the International Director, you will be responsible for the set up and execution of the International supply chain including import/export , purchasing and planning. You will act as the first point of contact from the International business to the UK operation as well as being responsible for:
• Liaising with UK suppliers and distributors to ensure products ordered internationally are planned & distributed on time.
• The management of export procedure and documentation.
• Working with the Commercial teams to produce a purchasing forecast.
• The management of volume to ensure minimum order quantities are classified and forecasting processes defined.
• The analysis of current suppliers and the sourcing of new local suppliers for new international markets entered.
• Developing and implementing global and regional sourcing and logistics solutions.
This role will also ultimately be responsible for ensuring the International supply chain function is delivering to the required service levels and in line with the current successful business model.
Who we're looking for
An experienced retail supply chain professional, you will have a broad supply chain background covering planning, import/export, purchasing and project management. You must have experience within an international supply chain environment and have sourced new suppliers. You will also possess strong:
• Interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Influencing and Negotiation skills
• Communication and decision making skills
• A proven track record of saving costs through supplier analysis/sourcing
This is a new role for the business so you must be pro-active and have the ability to recognise opportunities, and use this information to implement new procedures and processes to develop a world class global supply chain.
