The Commercial Manager will report directly into the Head Of Regulatory Control.
The role will involve:
• Working closely with Sector Heads of all relevant department
• Manage day to day contract drafting process ensuring agreed sign-off and Bank governance procedures adhered to; particularly management of contracts outsourced to external legal firms, including costs benchmarking; liaise with relevant parties (internal and external) and respond;
• Significant and demonstrable experience operating in commercial contractual environments, ideally within Financial Services. Must have a thorough understanding of contracts (particularly 'supplier' and 'marketing' agreements) and risk management and the balance to be struck with commercial pragmatism.
• Understanding and sound experience of legal terminology and ability to interpret and draft contractual terms and to provide advice and guidance thereon.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills with the ability to influence at all levels. Must be an adaptable and determined problem solver, with an ability to spot (and implement) opportunities. Does not lose sight of the 'big picture'
