This newly-created HR Business Partner position within United Utilities is about quickly gaining credibility within an established complex business through gaining a consummate understanding of the strategic and operational priorities. It is about using this to influence and work alongside the leadership teams, in championing the people agenda to enable the business to achieve its world class ambition. From driving high performance and behavioural change to creating a talent pipeline for the future, this role has a full and exciting remit. Furthermore, with a large complex and dynamic client group, this is one of the most challenging BP roles to have recently emerged in the North West.
Who we're looking for
In order to meet the challenge of this role you will:
• Be able to give clear examples of your success as a Business Partner within a complex and reputable business where the 3-box Ulrich model is utilised;
• Have a thoroughly commercial outlook and know how to proactively drive the business agenda and business change from an HR perspective;
• Have the intellectual dexterity to quickly understand the business and juggle multiple complex projects;
• Have the strength of character to challenge and manage key stakeholders;
• Have the creativity, savvy business acumen and foresight to proactively develop effective solutions to business issues;
• Be resilient, challenging and able to gain the respect of senior stakeholders;
• Be able to achieve buy-in from all stakeholders;
• Have senior experience of HR provision within a quickly-changing, complex business;
• Be able to give clear examples of your success in driving performance management, behavioural change, resourcing, succession planning and TUPE; have experience of a variety of intervention tools for these areas in order to facilitate effective business transformation.

It is the largest operator of water and wastewater networks in the UK and its other principal activity is managing and operating the regulated electricity network; employing over 8000 people in its core utility activities. It also utilises its core utility skills to manage other infrastructure assets.

What's on offer
A basic salary in the region of £55,000 plus excellent benefits.
