Litigation Locum

Temp ⁄ £18-£25 per hour

The role will cover a variety of civil litigation, including contract disputes (some with a European Law element), personal injury claims, the recovery of payments made under various livestock and arable farming schemes, salary overpayments and a property damage claim.

Who we're looking for
• Civil litigation experience;
• Understanding and applying relevant EU and domestic legislation;
• The ability to grasp or find out the full factual background to each case and to challenge the clients' approach where justified;
• Giving clear and practical advice and, whenever advising against the clients' intended approach, assisting the clients to find workable alternatives;
• Recognising issues of political importance and being alert to potential media interest;
• Some understanding of the rules applying specifically to litigation by or against government departments.
