Shift Manager

The Shift Manager, reporting to the Factory Manager will be responsible for a shift of forty staff to work a 12 hour shift pattern. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the skilled and un-skilled staff as well as full responsibility for the maintenance department for your shift. You will be responsible for prioritising work loads, absence, back to work interviews, appraisals, as well as implementing lean activities such as 5S and SMED.
Who we're looking for
You will be educated to HND/ HNC level in a engineering discipline. You will currently be employed in a production capacity with exposure to the implementation of lean to the shop floor. You will be a strong communicator and work well with a team ensuring all shifts work in parallel make use of best practice across the business. You will work on your own initiative with the involvement of your team.
