The Head of HR role will provide leadership to a well established HR function. Providing HR support to the day to day operations of the business and developing the HR function and the people strategies to support the continued growth of the business. Areas of focus will include;
• Developing and delivering appropriate people strategies and ensure that these are communicated and implemented in a way that supports the business objectives.
• Develop and maintain a recruitment and resourcing strategy and to ensure that the company is able to attract, retain and motivate staff at all levels.
• Advise and coach operations managers and senior managers about performance development and actions required to ensure that the company makes the best use of its employees.
• Develop a learning organisation by creating and maintaining core training programmes including succession planning & management development.
• Develop and deliver sound HR policies and procedures to ensure that the company complies with all legal requirements and to provide sound advice to management.
The role will be based in Cineworld's Chiswick Head office, however as the vast majority of the company's population are based at sites across the UK it is essential that this individual is close to the business at large, spends time understanding the dynamics of the retail environment and builds good personal relationships with Operations Managers and Directors.

The person specification for this role is critical to the success of the position. Given the cultural environment the person must be:

• Able to demonstrate a strong track record in delivering high quality operational HR support.
• Ability to work in a multi site business.
• Demonstrable experience of developing HR strategy to support business objectives.
• Understand and develop key relationships within the organisation.
• Ability to "push back" on the challenging personalities with the organisation in a positive way and build strong personal relationships.
• Enthusiastic and passionate.
This role is a key part of a fast paced, passionate and driven senior management team within Cineworld Group. Maintaining an already highly respected and credible position within the group will require character and excellent interpersonal skills - as such this will be a major factor in choosing the successful candidate.
This is a true generalist HR role. The successful candidate will have previous experience within a high pressure, fast paced environment and you will have a proven track record of providing HR support within the Retail and/or Leisure environment.
