1) Proactive outbound prospecting for new and repeat business
2) Reactive sales activity from incoming telephone calls / faxes / and emails from prospects, customers, and bank teams. Advising and negotiating a win-win solution whilst building a longer term relationship.
3) To work closely with and build strong relationships with key business stakeholders. This may include undertaking bank visits & offsite meetings.
4) Achieve a high level of sales success by developing and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of new and existing customers - ensuring customer satisfaction.
5) Exercise discretion to close a deal within an agreed level of authority.
6) Keep up to date with technical; product; governance; and compliance knowledge
7) Work closely with other departments to ensure that service standards to customers are not compromised
8) Support the team and department in achievement of their objectives, taking individual responsibility and ownership.
9) Play an active role within Internal Sales to ensure that new ideas are cultivated and best practice is established.
10) Prioritise and manage your workload to meet Service Level Agreements and business objectives
11) Consistent achievement across all objectives / Key Performance Areas, such as margins; fees; terms; and insurance.
Who we're looking for
• Ability to manage own time and prioritise workload
• Understanding of the sales process.
• Understanding of the principles of service quality.
• Understanding of the Company's products and services.
• Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with decision makers over the telephone.
• Sound written, numerical and well developed analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently, take decisions appropriately and demonstrate practical application of knowledge.
• A flexible and supportive approach to colleagues.
• A self-starter with a positive mental attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to take responsibility for own performance.
• Competent PC user with good working knowledge of Outlook / Excel / Word / etc.
