To implement ContourGlobal Solution's highest standards of Safety and Quality throughout the construction phase of multiple CHP plants in multiple countries. This will include participation in contract negotiations to determine the contractor's schedule, cost, and placement of site management personnel as well as recruiting and overseeing Site Engineers (owner's representative) and Construction Contractors at multiple construction sites. This position will also be responsible for monitoring the project schedule and costs (including change orders), reviewing quality of work, supporting site personnel, reporting to Senior Management and supporting the in house Engineering team during the design phase of projects.
Who we're looking for
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science and extensive experience (including operational and management experience) in engineering and construction in a CHP business.The ideal candidate will have experience of working on a construction site in an international location within Europe or Africa.
• Knowledge of the type of CHP technology being developed for an assigned project site including knowledge of gas engine, absorption chillers, and CO2 extraction units.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, technical excellence and management skills and strong planning and budgeting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and motivational skills. Must be able to communicate well with all levels of personnel in multiple languages. Must be able to address issues with owner, contractor and Site Engineer in an effective manner to secure cooperation for the successful outcome of the project. Multiple language skills a plus or ability to work easily with a translator.
• Knowledgeable of project management and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, AutoCAD and AutoView.
• Must be able to travel internationally on a regular basis and may be required to spend significant time on site if necessary.
