My clientis a global organisation who supply the Aerospace industry with essential stock items which are critical to their customers operations.
Due to the critical nature of these items many of the leading Aerospace companies work in a collaborative manner with my client and this role is responsible for ensuring these relationships truly are collaborative.
The Customer Account Manager is Fully accountable for the efficacy and profitability of customer accounts under their management.
This includes full accountability of stock held for the customer (VMI), both on site and on the customer premises, monitoring slow moving stock and obsolete stock whilst ensuring stock is within budget at all times.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Ensure accounts are profitable by closely monitoring sales, margin, costs and stock-turn levels in order to meet or exceed budget.
Ensure effective 2- way communication between customers and internal departments to give feedback on performance, improvements or customer service issues.
Carry out regular meetings (at least monthly) with customers to review the accounts and ensure efficient resolution of any customer service issues.
Agree targets and set PDP objectives annually for each team member and carry out quarterly reviews to monitor performance. Monitor individual and team performance and take corrective actions where necessary.
Attend management and departmental meetings, cross-departmental meetings and external visits as required; this may require foreign travel.
Work closely with the customer to develop robust and accurate materiel usage forecasts.
Accountable for effective and efficient stock-room management to ensure stock-turn meets or exceeds target.
For Direct Line Feed (DLF) accounts, carry out regular reviews with the customer to ensure correct bin location, bag sizes and kits are in place.
Who we're looking for
You must have a proven track record of success within an Aerospace business. Do not apply if this is not evident on your CV!
You will posses excellent Supply Chain awareness possiblygained from a hands on supply chain role.
You will have excellent commercial skills and be able to work closely with clients both on the phone and face to face.
People management skills areadvantageous as you will have total responsibility for the team.
You will have a sound understanding of finances to ensure your decisions are the best possible option for both parties.
With problems that need to be resolved at short notice or on the spot you will remain calm under pressure.
Applicants must hold a full UK Visa or the right to work permanently in the UK.
Applicants from abroad must be able to travel for interviews in a timely manner at their own expense.
Previous VMI stock management or stock management is critical.
