This is a Technical Accounting Role based in Edinburgh in the Accounting and Finance Sector.
To ensure statutory accounts are produced on a timely and accurate basis and in compliance with applicable accounting standards, as well as ensuring all audit requirements are met and acting as a liaison point for the relevant stakeholders I.e. External Audit and Internal stakeholders.
To ensure the ledger and systems are updated to reflect the correct statutory position.
To complete and support month end activities, operating a control mechanism to ensure the quality and integrity of data produced by the team meets the required standard and agreed policies and procedures and that exceptions are reported.
To ensure financial transactions are properly authorised and reported to Group and regulatory bodies.
To drive a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus in the team. To ensure up to date and complete process documentation is maintained.
The role holder will be responsible for creating & maintaining strong business relationships within Shared Services and across the finance community.
Who we're looking for
Qualified Chartered accountant, or accountant with Statutory Accounts preparation experience
