Facilities Manager

Leisure & Hospitality

South West London

Permanent ⁄ £35000 - £40000

Working within the maintenance department you will report into the Director of Operations utilising your knowledge and skill set to deliver a quality facilities management service to meet the business objectives.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Compliance: Provide accurate and timely advice on, statutory regulations, e.g. inspections, company policies, health and safety, buildings, mechanical and electrical plant, fire precautions, hygiene, water qualify and liability.
• Preparation of annual budget estimates and control of expenditure.
•Being environmentally aware and monitor energy consumption and usage and develop an energy awareness culture within the building.
• To supervise, direct and train facilities engineering assistants under your charge.
• To be aware of, and implement all company statutory and legal requirements including Fire, Health and Safety, Hygiene, Electricity at Work, and all local by laws.
• To carry out all defined duties to maintain brand standards without impairing guest safety and comfort.
• Responsible for H&S working practices and as applicable for the operation.
• Produce risk assessments including COSHH, PPE & Work Equipment.
• Effectively manage service contracts including - mechanical and electrical services, fire protection, lifts, building repairs, energy supplies and grounds maintenance.
• Ensure that regular site inspections and condition surveys are carried out.
• Maintain high standard of day to day repairs, through prompt attention to emergencies and fault requests. Ensure 24 hour emergency cover for all buildings is provided through central help desk.
• Liaise and maintain good relations with client, client departments and tenants, responding quickly and effectively to problems and building service breakdowns.

Who we're looking for
Ideal Facilities Manager with reside within a commutable distance to South West London and be very client focused paying great attention to detail.

As an engineer or Electrician by trade you will possess an in depth understanding of Mechanical Engineering and have the ability to display the following competencies;

•Communicate as clearly and concisely to both customers & colleagues
•Be motivated & committed, approaching all tasks with enthusiasm & seizing opportunities to learn new skills or knowledge in order to improve personal performance.

•Develop positive working relationships at all levels.
