Our house hold name client require an Interim General Manager to operate out of their West Midland based Distribution Centre. Reporting into the Business Unit Director the successful candidate will have full strategic, operational and P&L responsibility, including third party contract management. In addition you would be expected to manage a sizeable transport fleet, and initiate strategic solutions for both warehouse and transport. The role will see the successful candidate drive forward improvement initiatives that will lead to a significant step change in the culture and operating model of the site.
Who we're looking for
You will be of graduate calibre and have at least 5 years senior management experience within a Blue Chip , FMCG distribution environment , ideally within a high volume operation. Commercially and financially astute, you will be able to communicate at all levels and be capable of seeing the bigger picture.
