This is an excellent opportunity for a senior manager to be wholly responsible for the UK wide transport network with full profit and loss responsibility. You will be responsible for a fleet of 80 drivers rising to 180 in peak including liaison with country wide site based managers. Reporting into the Distribution Directoryou will be expected to assist with the delivery of strategic and tactical business plans and objectives, whilst having primary accountability for the day to day management of the networks.
Who we're looking for
Our client is looking for a tenacious and results focused manager who has an excellent knowledge of not only transport operations but also wider supply chain. You will be expected to demonstrate effective leadership, management and control of establishing, adapting and integrating operations processes and procedures that ensure the provision of a safety first ethos. The job holder will also be expected to set an overall financial vision and strategy aligned to the business strategy through compliance and control of internal financial policies and procedures.
