Regulatory Executive

The regulatory analyst will be involved in the production of the regulatory reports relating to UK and other EMEA Group legal entities, interacting with the business, other support areas (such as Risk Management Group) and other areas within Finance.
• For each of the relevant Group entities:
o Preparation of the daily regulatory calculations
o Preparation and submission of periodic FSA and Bank of England returns for UK regulated entities and London Branch
o Preparation and submission of appropriate periodic returns for (non-UK) EMEA regulated entities
o Participate in the phased implementation of the Integrated Regulatory Reporting regime (transitioned implementation during 2008)
o On-going compliance with the latest GENPRU and BIPRU sourcebooks
• Develop a detailed understanding of the business activities and the financial position of each of the regulated entities, covering a diverse range of financial and investment activities
• Provide support to other team members on pertaining to all external regulatory reporting matters
• Close liaison with other EMEA locations and Sydney office to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data reported to external regulators
• Development and maintenance of the control environment around each of the regulated Group entities and the provision of management information
• Involvement in ad-hoc project work, as necessary

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and background:
• Relevant professional accountancy qualification e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA
• Practical and well-organised approach to their work with demonstrable history of delivering to deadlines.
• Ability to apply judgement and to escalate issues where appropriate
