Working on a budget of £35m, the successful applicant will provide a financial management service to the Programme Directors team in the Western division. This will include:
• Attending all Project Review and Monthly Business Review meetings relating to the portfolio.
• Challenging and verifying reported financial figures, authorities and forecasts to understand how the project is going.
• Provide accrual reports, income reports, Oracle task error issues and be able to explain any relevant management information that these reports highlight
• Monitor costs pre-authority and allocate these to projects once authorised.
• Correct allocation of costs to projects within the portfolio; from other projects or from outside of the division.
• Raise the profile of finance within the delivery teams and provide business partners with the support they require.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a part-qualification of a recognised Accountancy body, or recently qualified. More importantly, they will have the drive and determination to provide the best possible service to the Project Delivery team, be able to learn quickly and be able to work on their own and manage their own workload.
Good communication skills, most importantly dealing with non-financial people and intermediate/advanced excel skills.
Ideally experience and use of Oracle Projects and BMIS (Nominal Ledger) or equivalent systems.
