This is a superb opportunity for an experienced Employment Law Advisor to join a largePublic Sector organisation to work as an integral part of their Human Resources team. You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to the HR team and the business in relation to employee relations matters,policy and procedure development and maintenance andHR Contractual documentation. Key Accountabilities include:
• Keeping their own and the HR teams' employment law knowledge up to date
• Develop capability of HR team in Employment law matters
• Continually review and maintain policies and procedures in line with legislative changes and business need
• Advise HR Advisers on employee relations case work as and when required
• Highlight any potential risks to the business of ongoing casework
• Identify employment law development requirements within the business and co-ordinate the fulfilment of those training needs.
• Provision of MI around compliance, risk and development needs
• Reviewing of risks of non compliance via audit co-ordination across the business, identifying actions to improve compliance through application of pragmatic solutions

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be an experienced Employment Law Advisor who can commute to the Birmingham region on a daily basis.Essential skills for the role include:
• Experience of policy and procedure development and maintenance
• Proven success in maintaining own and others employment law skills up to date
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• Pragmatic approach to the application of employment law in a constantly changing environment
• Experience of working in a unionised environment
• Fully qualified Human Resources Professional
