Reinsurance Manager Life

Job Role
In this position you will play an active role in the implementation of the reinsurance policy for the whole Life segment optimising financial performance, facilitating optimal capital management and applying common reinsurance standards and practices for governance and control reasons. You will execute the chosen life reinsurance policy of our client, be the contact for the Life business units and external reinsurance markets. You monitor regularly the performance of Life reinsurance contracts and review reinsurance needs and the affordable risk appetite on the Life business. You will facilitate alignment of the overall interests including the negotiating of Life reinsurance businesses and contracts with internal and external partners. In your activities you will comply with the Risk Policy and will cultivate relationships with external reinsurance markets.

Who we're looking for
To your qualification as Life actuary, you should add working experience in Life product development, valuation, Life reinsurance management and actuarial reinsurance-underwriting. You have working knowledge of standard reinsurance contract terms and conditions as well as modern valuation techniques in Life insurance. Your proven experience in international Life (re)insurance markets and products and services as well as your strong knowledge of English are a requirement, the knowledge of other languages would be ideal. We expect a communicative personality with strong negotiation, presentation, interpersonal and networking skills, the ability to strategic and complex thinking, precise, reliable and efficient working methods and the willingness to travel occasionally.
