As the Head of Procurement for The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust you will provide strategic direction and thinking whilst overseeing internal operations and continually work to develop internal capability.
You will manage a team of 18 staff directly and manage the interfacing with all authorised signatories within both the trust and the RPCT. Our new Head of Procurement will have autonomy and full support of the Senior Management to deliver cost savings and also to push the boundaries within the Public Sector to achieve key savings to the bottom line.
Budgets: Ensuring all Trust' non-pay/agency expenditure is commercially evaluated. Total spend approximately £50 million spend per annum.
Staff Numbers: 18 staff directly and manages the interfacing with all authorised signatories within both the Trust and RPCT.
Contracting: You will manage over 900 complex, high value service and support contracts, with contracts to ensure compliance with HM Treasury guidance.
Supply Chain: You will challenge and develop supply chains within the Trust to ensure continuous improvement and generate cash releasing savings per annum.
Modernisation: You and your team will develop IT systems and technology with Procurement processes to enable reductions in process costs and collection of meaningful real time information and statistics for business purposes.
Ensure that professional relationships with the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency, the Yorkshire and Humber Commercial Procurement Collaborative and NHS Supply Chain are maintained and participate in national forums, as appropriate.
Deliver commercial, contractual direction to all stakeholders for all aspects of procurement based on continued research and development of market places and formal research.
Implement cultural change in a new way of thinking so that the inclusive planning and delivery of the procurement programme enables the delivery of cash releasing savings and product standardisation.

Who we're looking for
We are looking for the new Head of Procurement to have experience in both the Public and Private sector.
You will be a highly motivated passionate individual who is looking to join a forward thinking trust and implement change throughout the procurement function.
Interpersonal skills will be vital as constant liaison with Heads of Departments and also external suppliers.
You must be a fully qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply.
You will be degree qualified.
Experience of negotiating contracts in a large organisation and a track record of achieving significant cost reductions.
The new Head of Procurement will receive the full backing from the Senior Management team, with technological and organisation drivers to the support.
