Asset Development Managers will report to the Team Leader within Asset Management, who will in turn report into the Director of Estates.
• Identifying Higher Alternative Use opportunities within the pub estate.
• Obtaining professional advice on planning and values from external professionals.
• Liaising with Operations on feasibility.
• Managing the planning process including any necessary surveys from initial discussions through to approval.
• Obtaining Board approvals.
• Supervising the marketing and legal process through to completion with our external professional team.
• Reporting internally on progress throughout the process.
Asset Disposal
• Supervising the marketing for sale of trading and non-trading pubs including package disposals. This will mean appointing and managing external agents as well as discussing premises directly with other occupiers or developers.
• Liaising with Operations regularly to discuss progress and issues.
• Obtaining Board approvals.
• Managing the legal process through to completion using our external solicitors.
• Reporting internally on progress throughout the process.
Who we're looking for
As Asset Development Managers you will have the following:
• Preferably MRICS with at least 3 years post qualification experience.
• Experience in asset management including the development and planning process.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Proven track record in hitting targets.
• Able to work effectively on their own initiative and within team environment.
• Able to communicate and influence effectively both internally and externally.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
• Ability to travel nationally throughout our estate.
About our client
Our client employs circa 14,000 people, The Group Estates Department comprises a team of 15 people. The team is currently made up of 1 Director overseeing an Asset Development Team of 5 Surveyors, an Estate Management Team of another 5 Surveyors along with 3 administration staff. The aim is to expand the existing team of Asset Development Managers and therefore a number of roles in this area will become available.
Our clients business is evolving at an extraordinary pace and our success depends on the quality of our Assets, including the optimal utilisation of the alternative use opportunities within our Estate of trading and non trading pubs. These key roles have been created following a restructure of the Estates team within the group, and present fantastic development opportunities. The roles will focus on driving the asset management programme through identifying and securing Higher Alternative Use Value within the pub estate as well as disposing of trading or non-trading pubs highlighted for sale.
