Legal and Compliance director

High tech manufacturing in the Defence sector

As part of the senior management team you will be the sole in-house legal advisor for the company and also have overall responsibility for compliance matters, particularly UK and US export compliance. You will have sound contract drafting skills and be comfortable in negotiating with non legal customers, you will also be expected to be heavily involved in commercial matters and to take the lead in transactions.

Who we're looking for
Qioptiq are looking for a qualified lawyer with a successful track record in either in house or private practice commercial work. A candidate with exposure to overseas jurisdictions or defence related industries would be at a distinct advantage. However most important will be an ability to interact with colleagues at all levels, in various disciplines and various countries
