Main Responsibilities and Opportunities:
• To work in the HRS Commercial/Legal Department as one of a growing team of seven professionals. The broader parameters of the role include
• Participating in the commercial negotiations that support the success and growth of the Division by creatively balancing risk, reward and competitive edge
• Negotiating both customer and supplier contracts/sub-contracts
• Drafting bespoke and non-standard agreements, in particular variations, extensions and innovations
• Contributing to the preparation and delivery of major/complex bids
• Contributing to tenders and RFIs to ensure that Northgate's position to negotiate is preserved as appropriate
• Contributing to the commercial aspects of preparation and delivery of major/complex bids
Who we're looking for
The ideal applicant will
• Have a demonstrable history of helping achieve commercial success in the context of a legal or commercial department and role within a services organisation.
• Exhibit significant abilities in commercial negotiation (internal and external), considerable orientation and knowledge within contract law and associated regulations, breadth and instinct in outsourcing/IP/licensing and risk, and the ability to competently shape/negotiate customer presented terms and conditions and draft complex agreements from scratch.
• Although ability, experience and achievements are the primary qualifications, being educated to degree level and/or having a professional legal qualification would be advantageous.
•Experience of public sector contracting, in addition to private sector experience, and of acquisitions would be an advantage.
