Head of Credit Derivatives Trading and Structuring

Our client is setting up a Credit Derivatives proprietary trading and structuring desk in London which will be fully integrated internationally with to create a successful Global Credit Derivatives Area by September 2008.
The bank will be trading for its own book as price taker/market maker where the desk acts as an innovation hub for new Credit Derivatives products for institutional investors.
The purpose of this job is to trade approved Credit Derivative products, and to implement and distribute Credit Derivative structures.
• Active credit derivatives trading
• Implementation an execution of new trading and investment ideas
• Distribution of emerging market sovereign credit risk

Who we're looking for
On the job experience required:

• Candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Credit Derivatives products and other Capital Markets.
• Trading of US and European Single Name Credit Derivatives, CDS, CLN, Total Return Swaps, Baskets etc
• Active interaction with clients like Asset Managers, Pension Fund Managers & Hedge Funds.
• Some knowledge of Emerging Markets
• Hands on experience building and leading a team and be willing to actively trade for the first 6 to 9 months.
• Candidates with experience of emerging markets, especially Sovereign risk, and Sovereign drivers will be considered favourably.
