Prudential and COB experts are needed for a top tier Investment Bank. You will be part of a team which is based within the Compliance function and has a global responsibility for co-coordinating the Bank's internal and external communication and responses to major policy consultations and regulatory change proposals. In addition, you will be part of a team which prepares and distributes management information on regulatory matters, acts as a central benchmark and resource for staff involved in regulation, and monitors and maintains the Bank's policy database.
• As an expert resource, providing a continuously updated insight into the regulatory landscape - monitoring the environment to assess risks and upcoming developments.
• Assisting communication and responses on regulatory matters and consultations and preparing briefings and papers on forward-looking issues and developments for senior management attention.
• Translating regulatory risks and standards into robust and practical information.
• Supporting the Compliance Strategic Planning process and its implementation.
• Maintaining and enhancing communication channels with the business and control functions.
• Working witha Global Network Team in delivering database and information sharing solutions.
Who we're looking for
• Graduate / Post-graduate.
• Relevant professional qualifications are an advantage.
•Knowledge gained in a regulatory, compliance and/or risk management environment within a first class banking, securities, or consulting firm and/or in a regulatory policy / line supervision role with a major regulator.
• Good knowledge of international prudential standards/ conduct of business rulesand requirements across all risks classes with strong areas of expertise.
• Exposure to risk measurement.
•Proven track record of dealingwith regulators (preferably the BaFin and/or the FSA).
• The role requires strong analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and maturity in dealing with people, tasks, and sensitive issues.
• Results-oriented, the candidate will have sound organisational skills and be capable of managing projects and ensuring timelines are met.
• A problem-solver, the candidate will be able to build and sustain relationships and handle conflict and pressure.
• The individual needs to be a self-starter with the ability to take the initiative and direct others in an advisory manner, to develop and execute action plans.
• The candidate will be a very strong team player.
• Fluent German is a significant advantage.
