Claims Surveyor

Due to expansion our client requires a Claims Surveyor to work on private domestic properties carrying out surveys and specifying works for insurance claims in the East Midlands.
Working as part of a team of surveyors with a network of support you will be provided with details of buildings insurance claims, visit claimants homes, diagnose defects, valid or repudiate claims and prepare specifications of works and estimates for repair.
Using a tablet PC and bespoke Schedule of Rates you will provide detailed schedule of works to be carried out by contractors, deal with any variation orders and manage client's expectations to provide a comprehensive customer service.

Who we're looking for
Ideally you will possess:
• Ideally to have experience in surveying, defect diagnosis, specifying and estimating works on private properties or social housing.
• Excellent technical/building knowledge of domestic properties.
• A proven track record in a trades background.
•Ideally an HNC or equivalent in a Building related subject.
• Excellent Inter-personal and communication skills.
