Assistant Accountant

• Preparation and analysis of the Professional Services and Desktop Delivery contributions schedules including calculating deferred income and sales reserves.

• Control of the accounting for the Marketing Department.

• Production of the monthly Maintenance Stock reconciliation and the associated provision.

• Preparation and analysis of the Hardware Maintenance contribution including reviewing the monthly revenue and deferred income, cost accruals and variance analysis.

• Transfer the Group charges reported through SAP to Epicor on a monthly basis.

• Prepare and input the journal into SAP of the monthly profit and loss account prepared in Epicor.

• Assistance with the transition to SAP.

• Provide cover of the production of the Product monthly contribution analysis.

• Provide cover of the production of the Outsourcing Division monthly contribution analysis.

• General assistance with the production of the monthly accounts including preparation of accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and analysis of expenditure.

• Assist the Financial Controller in producing and maintaining the forecast and annual business plan.

• Any other tasks as required by the Financial Controller.

Who we're looking for
Skills and Competencies
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experienced in the use of computerized ledgers.
• SAP experience an advantage.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

• Good general education with A-C passes in GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics & English. A Levels desirable.
• Part Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA).

Desirable:

• Minimum 5 years financial accounting experience.
