Reporting to the Commercial Director, based in the Durham or Leeds, you will need to be able to demonstrate a successful track record of commercial success in growing a retail contracting business. You will be heavily involved in pricing and project management to ensure delivery of the agreed service whilst managing up to 3 Senior Quantity Surveyors. The role itself would involve a degree of travel to nationwide projects and briefed to have a fully empowered role looking after the company's commercial and financial activities within the contract functions. The role will require you to be extremely commercially astute and have several years experience of managing teams.
Who we're looking for
The successful Commercial Manager will need at least 3 years experience of operating in this role for a sizeable organisation, having worked on projects over £10m and will need to demonstrate the following:
• Experience in Managing a team of Senior Quantity Surveyors.
• Good communicator who is confident dealing with the client as well as managing a team.
• Producing of accurate information for contribution forecasts, monthly cost/value reports, management accounts and on site progress.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and use own initiative.
• Industry recognised Quantity Surveying qualification.

The role is for there Special Projects Division, which would encompass projects over £20m across all sectors of construction, working with prestigious clients and key accounts.
What's on offer
Excellent basic, £50, 000 - £60,000 plus 10% bonus, company car/car allowance, company pension & health care.
