Interim Reconciliations Analyst

My client is a leading financial services organisation based in Newcastle upon Tyne. They are looking for an interim Reconciliations Analyst to support the banking team.
Reporting to the Reconciliations Team Leader, you will be responsible for the following:
• Ensure that basic reconciliations, adjustments and transfers are performed so that flows of funds and information are timely and accurate and write-offs are minimal.
• Identify and escalate issues where appropriate .
• Oversee month-end close process for Sales Finance to ensure timeliness, accuracy, completeness and compliance.
• Contribute to preparation of quarterly financial reports to the States, ensuring timeliness, completeness and compliance.
• Build key relationships with ITS, Operations and Front End teams.
• Contribute to projects within the department to deliver defined business improvements.
• Understand and deliver on business priorities.
• Ensure that processes and procedures are fully documented

Who we're looking for
• Some work experience in an accounting environment

• Basic understanding of accounting principles

• Knowledge of relevant regulations & company policies

• Working knowledge of relevant procedures & systems

• Ability to understand, analyse and present large volumes of numerical data

• Good spreadsheet skills

• Good systems awareness

• Presentation/ communication skills
You will need to be immediately available as my client is looking to appoint urgently.
