The role is a challenging and exciting opportunity. Reporting to the HR Director, with a dotted line to the site business director, this role will provide on site leadership to the HR team. With a focus upon employee and industrial relations, this role will be key to building and maintaining strong relationships with on site unions representatives as well as the senior team, driving the site to exceed challenging operational and business objectives. Whilst this on site activity is the priority and will require an initial focus, there is also a strong focus on employee development across the UK that will require long term development and support. The HR Manager will be a key position within the organisation, reaching and exceeding short term targets whilst supporting the long term strategy for the UK.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will need to be a proven HR Generalist within a manufacturing organisation. Strong Employee and Industrial relations are absolutely key to ensuring existing challenges and targets are not only met but exceeded.
You will need to demonstrate:
• Proven negotiation skills
• A strong understanding of a UK manufacturing environment
• A strong commercial focus
• Robust relationship building and influencing skills
• The ability to inspire and develop employees group wide.
• CIPD qualified
