The Deputy Procurement Manager will assist and support the procurement management team in delivering an efficient and professional Supplies and Procurement service in the provision of high quality support, advice and service to all end-users within the organisation, ensuring product and service satisfaction for all customers. You will plan, manage and execute a range of procurement projects for supplies of goods, services, and capital equipment, working closely with the relevant staff in the organisation to obtain best value for money and to ensure delivery in accordance with required timescales. Many of these will be complex and of high value, being above the organisations tender threshold and some will be above the EU procurement threshold. There will often be several procurements to manage simultaneously.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will be degree and MCIPS qualified (or working towards) and have a proven track record within the public sector procurement environment. You will have a thorough understanding of the OJEU tendering process and will be confident procuring products, services and capital equipment.
