As Category Executive you will assist in the development and implementation of product strategies and plans to deliver agreed short and long term profit, market share and in store Brand image objectives within the Key account area across area North (travel required) Managing a number of Key accounts, through excellent interpersonal skills, relationship building and credibility, within the Business Unit you will provide an outstanding professional service in order to achieve maximum sales growth. Your role will involve:
Marketing Planning
Assist in the development of category strategies to deliver commercial, market share, brand and in-store image objectives.
Product, Product Costs, Retail Pricing and Margin Management
Assist in the development of a product range, product cost and retail price strategy and brief to Region Europe/International HQ.
Launch the agreed product and price points range into the North market.
Selling Support
Work with Key Sales Personnel to ensure top quality major account presentations are implemented.
Market Knowledge
Understand the consumer market place, identifying relevant trends and accommodating them within strategic development.
Distribution
Assist / input into the development of a distribution strategy that will achieve commercial and brand image objectives.
Sales Support Material
Input into the provision of all necessary sales support material to ensure effective sell-ins. Provide all the necessary information and support to Retail Marketing to ensure effective in-store brand support and product knowledge.
Who we're looking for
You will have experience and understanding of the product development lifecycle, merchandising, selling, buying or have a direct involvement with product from a retail background. Consumer and competition awareness alongside general commercial acumen is an absolute must in this post. You will also understand how to grow and develop relationships in a Key account environment with the ability to negotiate and deliver a first class service.
You will have flexibility to travel both in the UK and in Europe.
