Financial Controller

The Financial Controller of this world renowned museum will give professional support and advice to internal and external stakeholders, design financial control procedures, systems and processes that are understood, and promote and implement changes to these procedures in order to improve their quality and effectiveness. He / she will manage the Financial Accounting and Procurement departments, and lead and motivate a proactive and professional team.

In addition to looking after accounting and reporting systems, other responsibilities include preparing the annual statutory accounts, achieving value-for-money, protecting the organisation from contractual risk, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met and resolving all tax issues.

Who we're looking for
We are looking for a fully qualified CCAB accountant with demonstrable experience of managing Finance teams. Candidates must have excellent technical accounting credentials coupled with outstanding interpersonal skills. Combining all these traits will be a healthy interest in systems and technology so to interact credibly with the internal IT department and external suppliers. Experience of Charity SORP Accounting is desirable.
