There is now an opportunity to develop your HR knowledge in this successful business in a dual aspect role combining HR and Payroll. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
• Full cycle recruitment responsibility through drafting job descriptions, writing advertisements, liaising with candidates/agencies, interviewing and offering contracts of employment
• Input into change work, mergers, redundancies and TUPE
• Reward scheme work
• Representing HR at weekly management meetings
• Taking part in monthly UK HR meetings
• Conduct D&G as required up to complex dismissals
• Conduct probationary reviews and appraisals and review policies and systems
•Undertake induction and exit interviews
• Advising on generalist HR to colleagues and management on all policies, procedures and employment law
• Accurately processing starters and leavers through payroll, dealing with holiday pay entitlements and adjusting payroll with salary alterations
• Producing weekly management reports and statistics
• Dealing with end of year Paye payments, online returns and Inland Revenue forms
• Maintaining sickness/absence reports
NB- This role will be largely single site based but occasional travel will be required
There is significant organisational change currently underway with masses of growth potential for the right candidate
Who we're looking for
You will ideally have broad generalist HR knowledge gained in a similar commercial environment with a strong grasp of employment law and HR best practice. You will be professional, self motivated and adaptable to change and able to build relationships with colleagues. You must be competent in all payroll procedures. You will ideally be CIPD qualified or studying towards.
