Reporting to the Planning Manager the Demand Planner is responsible for providing an accurate forecast of sales within the UK business and to the global supply chain team in Europe to support the supply chain planning process. Working closely with the sales and marketing team to understand the latest sales expectations you will drive the forecast process which is a basis for the efficient management of suppliers and the outsourced 3rd party warehouse.


Key Demand Planning responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Sales Forecasting. Develop and manage 18-month forecasts for all sku's under your management. You will drive accuracy improvements in line with agreed targets and deliver an enhanced forecast view at a weekly level.

• Inventory and Replenishment. Using sales forecasts to build replenishment plans for communication to the centralised supply chain team. This is also the basis for the planning of the UK supply chain and management of the 3PL warehouse.

• S&OP. As a local level expert you will communicate feedback to the central team feedback on forecast inaccuracies, variations and risks with the sales / replenishment plans.

• Seasonal Modelling. Provide detailed forecasts and promotional analysis during key trading periods such as Christmas to support supply planning and inventory management.

• SAP Administration. As a key SAP user you will maintain the systems safety stock, lead times etc to ensure an accurate replenishment forecast is available to all relevant stakeholders.

Who we're looking for
Successful candidates will be of degree calibre with excellent analytical, communication, team work and influencing skills.
Highly numerate you will use your data analysis skills combined with your ability to build strong working relationships to drive the monthly forecasting process. In addition you will use your strong communication & presentation skills to proactively share latest plans and risks with the wider team. You will be comfortable working with people at all levels in an organisation and use your influencing skills to challenge forecasts and drive improvements.

This is a highly demanding, fast moving industry and as such a proven track record of demand planning success is essential. Ideally you will currently be a Demand or Supply Planner or have recently worked in a Supply Chain Planning role.

Successful candidates will posses advanced Excel skills and be able to run macros, pivot tables and VLookups.

Ideally you will posses strong SAP skills.
